...libertarianism is not a philosophy developed to justify a specific business model let alone code development/distribution. One of the perplexing things about the FOSS movement is how its supporters would limit business models and technical advances in the name of four freedoms, and now Libertarian philosophy (which I've found can resemble left wing proletariate battle cries). Technology is utilitarian, it needs to work well, people don't pray to technology. Of course, I've thought about proposing legislation to make drug tests mandatory for those who do.
