Proof that Desktop Linux Exists (off the books)

When you measure sales inquiries rather than purchases, calculating market share and revenue seems like an inconvenient part of economics. A new economics is necessary for Linux; but we'll just call Linux a revolution til thats all figured out.

Are consumers immoral by not rewarding volunteer programmers for their time; these volunteers might become less important to Linux distributions that never paid them in the first place! I'm sure that in due time consumers will learn to sacrifice reliability and productivity for the ability to tinker with their software.

Well, you have to count more than that, as many just download Fedora or SuSe and never make an inquiry.

I sacrifice neither reliability or usability; the current dsktop linux eclipse Windows and approach Mac usability.

You don't know this, though because you don't actually use FOSS...
