Ahead of Our Time

Adam scoffs at the proposed New York law that would ban the use of electronic devices such as iPods, BlackBerrys and cell phones while crossing streets in major cities. Actually, Patrick and I (Jim) discussed this idea back in 2005 -- but we thought we were joking about an idea too silly to be taken seriously.

It just shows that you have to be careful about suggesting laws these days. Jokes can become laws, just as many of the laws seem to be jokes.
