The deadline for GPLv3 is slipping, says C|Net. Major issues remain -- the interaction of the license with patents and DRM, issues on which different parts of the open source community are seriously at odds.
Of course, there is also the old rule of writing software code (or public policy papers): It always takes twice as long as you think it will, and don't try to cheat by doubling your estimate because then it will take twice as long as that.
