Brush Up Your Hula

The State Policy Network, joined by other property-rights-oriented organizations, is planning the Pacific Rim 2007 Policy Conference, to be held in Honolulu on May 23-24 -- "two days of workshops and brainstorming with free market think tank leaders from the Pacific Rim."

Each panel will consist of experts from the United States and their international counterparts. Topics:
+ Coalition Building
+ Property Rights and Intellectual Property
+ Global Capital
+ Privatization and Regulatory Reform
+ Free Market Environmentalism / Climate Change

The conference will be followed, on May 25, by a day-long session by the Grassroot Institute of Hawaii on “East Meets West,” which will bring together chambers of commerce (Japanese Chamber of Commerce, Chinese Chamber, Vietnamese Chamber, etc.) for a discussion of mutual policy concerns and ambitions. See www.grassrootinstitute.org.
