Americans for Technology Leadership's Jim Prendergast was at the International Consumer Electronics Show, and has a fantastic summary in the Chicago Sun-Times about how clear it was there that IP protection is driving innovation.

Although I agree that rewarding the creation of intellectual property protection fundamentally creates incentives for innovation, I don't think that without a brutally competitive supply chain and internet powered marketing such a level of innovation would be possible.
