Not that we're parochial around here -- but the question du jour is what the election means for IP, the Internet, and tech generally. And, over at the PFF blog, what it means for net neutrality.
Being rigidly non-partisan, we have no opinions. But others may, and we will pass these on as they come to our notice.
One thing is obvious at the start. Clearly, the Dems increasing skepticism about free trade will hurt IP industries -- much international commerce now consists of our exporting intellectual creations and importing physical goods. If the latter gets hobbled, then other nations will regard our interest in IP as leverage against us, or, if we do not bend, as a tit for our tat.
