Did you ever hear of the old saying, "consider things to be at their best." Good, you haven't. I just made it up. But perhaps such a perspective is due given the general state of software, as pointed out in a Slashdot thread on a new book about "Why Software Sucks."

This goes along with my sentiments that Nobody Said Innovating is Easy or Cheap...

Now, we must appreciate more those companies that bring us good products, often at the risk of substantial money and time.
