DRM Developments

Another drop in the bucket of evidence that, yes, DRM does respond to consumer demand and will not indeed cannot merely be imposed from the top down: Hollywood and customer equipment makers are holding off on implementing a feature of Blu-ray that degrades image quality on some players.

And a new model for DRM interoperability. The article also nicely explains the two previous approaches, "build it and they will come" versus "work backwards to accomodate existing content formats."
