No, illicit P2P file-sharing will never disappear. But there's one less software maker seeking to profit from it. BearShare maker Free Peers has agreed to a $30 million settlement with the music industry and has closed up shop, the AP reports. These settlements and closures have been coming since the 9-0 Supreme Court decision in MGM v. Grokster; among those already having settled is Grokster itself.
