I'll frequently watch BBC Newsnight because they usually have pretty good coverage of international news. I definitely missed this one, however.
I guess they ran a story on BitTorrent and encryption, which caused quite a bit of uproar because they managed to mention filesharing, terrorism and child predators all in the same short piece. It sounds like they were trying cover every single aspect of internet security in five minutes and, obviously, the final edit didn't pan out.
Well, some viewers thought BCC was implying that the three topics above were somehow interrelated (i.e. BitTorrent aids terrorists). After some angry mail, a producer from the BBC decided to respond.
