The World Association of Newspapers has formed a task force:
[T]o examine the options open to publishers to assert their rights to recognition and recompense, and to ultimately improve the relationships between content creators/producers and news aggregators and search engines. C|Net News quoted WAN as noting that Web companies help aggregate and package content, but also "built their business models in large part on taking content for free."
Agence France Presse is already suing Google for taking content without permission.
