Analog Hole (S. 4569)

I talked with some content providers today who take umbrage at Bill Rosenblatt's (and thus our) description of the Analog Hole bill. They say that the "single technology" epithet is not justified and that the bill would indeed allow a variety of DRM technologies, which is what the tech industry wants. The "Veil" system is a trigger, not a complete technology.

We are collecting material to explain this further. In the meantime, the technology underlying the proposal will be on display at tomorrow's Internet Caucus Tech Fair, to be held from 5-7 p.m. in Dirksen SOB, Room SD-G50.
