The clash between internet access providers and copyright holders continues to criss-cross the globe, with Germany offering the latest battleground. Following pressure by Australian music labels against local ISPs, Germany's content owners have begun sending out threats to various access providers. GEMA, the German Music Author's Society, recently demanded that 42 access providers take steps to block illegal websites that enable copyright infringement.
