David Carney, in the TechLawJournal (subscription required) noted that 25 of the 57 members of the House Commerce Committee signed a statement lauding the Grokster decision.
Mary Bono (R-CA) led the list, which included 15 Republicans and 10 Democrats. Henry Waxman (D-CA) signed, but not Chairman Joe Barton (R-TX), ranking minority member John Dingell (D-MI), or IP-leader Rick Boucher (D-VA).
The statement said the Supreme Court "correctly balanced the rights of creators with the imperative to promote technological innovation" and "this was the correct decision for American innovators of all kinds and the right decision for America's future prosperity."
In other words -- nobody is to come whining to the HCC.
