Since Google has made so much money off of open source code without having to give the community access (because Google uses the code but does not distribute), there's talk that for the next version of the GPL the Free Software Foundation will consider some kind of "fix" so that Google or similar concerns must pay up. The concern in a nutshell: Such uses will create a "Tragedy of the Commons." Oh DEAR. We can't have that.
